A DARK BURGUNDY LACQUERED EXTENDED-FORM PLANT STAND (18467)
Shanxi Province, China Late 18th Century
A single yumu (northern elm) dark burgundy lacquered plant stand of extended-form. An unusual low stretcher attaches to all four eligantly tapered legs and lead to a simple detailed foot. The flush fitting floating panel top is surounded with a simple knifes edge waisted apron. The interior edges of the legs and apron are all detailed with a simple beaded edge. (Small restorations to the original dark burgundy lacquer)
