Central India, 19th century
A teakwood coffee table / daybed from colonial India. The takat table has its original polychrome painting on the edges and legs. The side floral carving design is in great condition as are the turned legs that extend up to the table’s top. The legs are given extra support with iron brackets on each corner. The top is a series of four thick planks that retain the old patina and wear with a slight sway to the top of the piece. (Some finish restoration)
